Porcelain crowns and veneers are the most permanent and natural-looking methods for transforming the appearance of your teeth. Our clinic offers both laminate veneers and full crowns (E-Max, Zirconia).
What is a Laminate Veneer?
A laminate veneer is an ultra-thin porcelain leaf, 0.3–0.5 mm thick, bonded to the front surface of the tooth only. Colour, shape, length, and position corrections are possible with minimal or no tooth reduction. Typically applied to the front 6–8–10 teeth.
What is a Full Porcelain Crown?
A full crown is a ceramic restoration that covers the entire tooth. It is preferred for broken teeth, heavily decayed teeth, root canal-treated teeth, or aesthetic concerns. Our clinic uses E-Max (lithium disilicate) and Zirconia ceramic crowns.
What Problems Does it Solve?
- Tooth discolouration (stains that don't respond to whitening)
- Small, short, or misshapen teeth
- Chipped or cracked teeth
- Gaps between teeth (diastema)
- Mild crowding correction (orthodontic alternative)
E-Max vs Zirconia
- E-Max (Lithium Disilicate) — Most natural appearance thanks to high translucency, ideal for front teeth
- Zirconia — Superior strength, safely used on both front and back teeth
Treatment Process
Crown treatment is typically completed in 2 appointments. The first appointment involves tooth preparation and impressions; the second appointment involves bonding the permanent restorations. Temporary crowns provide comfort between appointments. The entire process can be completed in 3–5 days.
