Composite Filling & Restoration

Repair decayed and broken teeth with tooth-coloured composite fillings. Painless, aesthetic single-session dental restoration. We also replace old amalgam fillings with modern composite.

Composite filling is a tooth-coloured restorative material that offers both aesthetic appearance and function. It has largely replaced the older silver-mercury amalgam fillings. Our clinic uses nano-hybrid composite materials to provide long-lasting, natural-looking fillings.

Composite Filling Indications

  • Small to medium-sized cavities
  • Chipped or cracked tooth surfaces
  • Closing diastemas (tooth gaps)
  • Tooth shape and colour correction (bonding)
  • Replacement of old amalgam fillings
  • Repair of worn tooth edges

How is it Applied?

Local anaesthesia ensures a pain-free environment for larger cavities; small restorations may be performed without anaesthesia. After decay removal, a matching colour is selected, and light-cured composite is applied in layers to recreate the natural tooth anatomy. The entire procedure typically takes 30–60 minutes.

Inlay and Onlay Restorations

For large cavities or fractures, inlay (filling the chewing surface) or onlay (chewing surface + at least one cusp) porcelain restorations can be made. These laboratory-fabricated restorations are far more durable than direct composite fillings.

Replace Your Amalgam Fillings

Old amalgam fillings create aesthetic problems and may risk cracking and leakage over time. At our clinic, your amalgam fillings are safely removed using proper protocols and replaced with aesthetic composite or ceramic restorations.
