Teeth whitening (bleaching) works by chemically breaking down colour molecules in tooth enamel and dentine — it is the most popular cosmetic dental treatment. Our clinic offers two methods: in-office and at-home.
In-Office Whitening (Laser / LED)
High-concentration whitening gel is applied to the tooth surfaces and activated with LED or laser light. A single session lasting approximately 45–60 minutes can achieve 5–8 shades of whitening.
At-Home Whitening (Take-Home Kit)
Using custom-made soft silicone trays, you apply low-concentration gel for 1–2 hours daily or overnight. Professional results are achieved in 10–14 days. When combined with in-office treatment, results are longer-lasting.
Why Do Teeth Discolour?
- Tea, coffee, red wine, and cola consumption
- Smoking and tobacco use
- Natural colour change with ageing
- Use of tetracycline antibiotics
- Fluorosis (excessive fluoride intake)
Is Whitening Safe?
Professional teeth whitening under clinical supervision with approved products and correct protocols is completely safe. Any temporary sensitivity resolves within a few days. Not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or for those under 18.
How Long Does it Last?
With proper care, results can last 1–2 years. Duration can be extended with an annual touch-up using the take-home kit.
