Paediatric dentistry (pedodontics) is the specialty concerned with oral and dental health of individuals aged 0–18. Our clinic provides a safe, fun, and stress-free clinical environment for children.
Dental Check-up for Babies and Young Children
The first dental examination is recommended as soon as the first milk tooth erupts (approximately 6–12 months). Early examination allows cavity risk assessment, oral care education for parents, and early detection of possible anomalies.
Preventive Dentistry Applications
- Fissure Sealant — Deep grooves in back teeth are sealed with flowable resin to prevent cavities
- Fluoride Application — Varnish or gel fluoride treatment to strengthen tooth enamel
- Dietary Counselling — Effects of sugary food consumption on dental health and precautions
- Toothbrushing Training — Teaching age-appropriate brushing techniques
Milk Tooth Treatments
Milk teeth may seem unimportant as they will fall out, but milk tooth cavities and early loss can negatively affect the development of permanent teeth. At our clinic, age-appropriate treatments use coloured or clear materials for children's fillings.
Dental Anxiety Management (Tell-Show-Do)
Fear-free examination is provided with the "Tell-Show-Do" method. When necessary, children can be treated in a completely relaxed environment with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation.
Orthodontic Monitoring
Routine X-rays from age 6 assess jaw development and permanent tooth eruption pattern; early orthodontic intervention is planned if necessary.
